Ashes

Just a quick update from the writers shed. As Book two continues to expand so does the world of Nefi, with new races and characters joining the stories woven into the fabric of the ongoing saga.

I have been thinking of names for the new book, something catchy and ominous without giving away the plot twists. (There is a big one)

So I’m sitting here when I really should be in bed, wondering whether to push on a little longer and see where this current adventure takes me. Some days the ideas don’t really stop coming and I should probably write some of this down! Let’s just say that there’s more to those towers than anyone could really fathom…

Book two!

Hi all!

With book one out and people finally getting the chance to read and enjoy the world of Nefi it is time to push for completion of book two. As of today I have approximately half of the new story written and planned out but I wanted to share with you all some of the details and struggles that I have moving forward.

Sometimes, when you have a plan for a story and visual idea of where you want characters story arcs to begin and end a magical thing can happen that I call “fate change.” This is where a long planned character death or specific twist get’s dumped on from a great height when perhaps you can’t bring yourself to kill that character off, or don’t want that character to take the path you always had planned out, or perhaps it just doesn’t fit right anymore.

Well, that happened this week, and now a long planned timeline is in turmoil!

As a clue to those who have finished book one, it involves a very important staff and it’s current owner.

This change has sent a shockwave through my plans and slowed the whole process down, but I know deep down it is a good move and for the best with the stories progress.

In addition to this, as a self published author with full time work needed to pay the bills it’s a struggle to bring much of my vision to the pages, but as I push on this chapter of the story is becoming my best writing yet, so I am super excited!
